I offer a wide range of freelance services, including writing, editing, and consulting. I am especially adept at story analysis and editing. A brief overview of my qualifications:

  • PhD in English with focuses on Canadian Literature and Creative Writing
  • Also an expert on Experimental Art and Canadian film, as evidenced by my peer-reviewed book John Paizs’s Crime Wave (UTP, 2014), which led to a rediscovery of this Canadian cult classic by the Toronto International Film Festival
  • Author of five books (poetry, nonfiction, experimental fiction), published by BookThug, Coach House Books, Insomniac Press, and University of Toronto Press

  • Screenwriter and director-producer of short film Spoony B sold to The Comedy Network, director-producer of a training video for a Manitoba Crown corporation, and screenplay credit on the independent feature film Snake River
