Montreal launch of Clockfire

Here’s the press release for my forthcoming Montreal event:

On Sunday, November 14, Toronto’s Coach House Books teams with Montreal’s Snare Books to unleash the fall’s most exciting poetry books!

Taking place at the Sparrow (5322 Blvd. Saint Laurent), the night will launch new books from Gary Barwin (The Porcupinity of the Stars), Jonathan Ball (Clockfire) and Jon Paul Fiorentino (Indexical Elegies) from Coach House Books. Snare Books will unveil new titles of poetry and fiction like Helen Hajnoczky‘s Poets and Killers, Bill Kennedy and Darren Wershler‘s Update, Jake Kennedy‘s The Lateral and Josip Novakovich‘s Three Deaths.

The night will have books and readings for all tastes, whether it be the impossible, macabre plays of Jonathan Ball, the surreal stylings of Gary Barwin, the re-purposed ad copy of Helen Hajnoczky or the data-mined Facebook statuses of Bill Kennedy and Darren Wershler. Follow up the weekend’s Expozine with an excellent night of readings.

The First One's Free.

To celebrate (over) a decade since my first book, I’m offering it for free.

EX MACHINA is a choose-your-own-adventure-style poetry-novel hybrid about how machines have changed what it means to be human.

Fill out this form so we can stay in touch, and I’ll send you the book.
